The purpose of the Congregation is to organize and conduct Jewish Religious services; to participate inJewish Congregation of Middlesex County, NJ interfaith services; to foster allied educational, ethical and cultural activities; and to promote good will and friendship among the Jewish residents of Rossmoor and their neighbors of other faiths. It also supports our fellow Jews at home, in Israel, and wherever Jews are in need. Membership is open to any resident of Rossmoor.

The Congregation of approximately 300 members, actively supports a diverse schedule of Services and other Religious, Social, Cultural, and Educational events.

From its beginning, the Congregation is Reform in tradition, but includes members from many diverse Judaic affiliations. This Reform Congregation includes those from Orthodox as well as Conservative and Reconstructionist backgrounds.

The Jewish Community at Rossmoor was founded in 1968 with the observation inscribed on our plaque that says:
